           Weekly briefing calls

            Event with Scots Government legal service arranged through Morton Fraser

             Series of vlogs to be released by Scots Law society in run up to an event to be held with them in April

             Connecting up folk in Australia –as ever if you want to connect up other offices with local MBC contacts let me know and we can facilitate that

             Strategic planning with trustees

Event coming up with the Global committee of the New York State Bar Association – 15February 2pm London time

             Organisation of the ideas from signatory updates over the last years with Alana from HFW

             FT articles in the new year which we circulated

3.           Feedback on proposed changes to Charter as circulated previously

             A point has been made re it not always being possible or preferable for people to join meetings virtually – eg if they do not have remote access or it is a meeting that requires in person attendance – add “Where appropriate” at start

             Planned for March/April to:

·       Get a sense of how you are doing with embedding MBC

·       Gain feedback on current community activity and how useful it is to you

·       Gather some impact data where we can

·       Gain feedback on proposed priorities and activity going forward

These are really useful for members. We’ve been having to do a lot of chasing to get people todo updates – please do feel free to volunteer and please to try to say yes whenyou are asked

             Kate Hammerton from Shoosmiths has asked in her annual evaluation (brownie points for doing this)

We are aware some of the early corporate signatories of the MBC introducing the Charter commitments initially at a team / Divisional level. We would be interested to know if / how they have progressed from this to a firmwide level.
