Our Trustees provide strategic guidance, governance and support for the MBC, enriched by their years of experience in a variety of areas. This section provides a short introduction to them all and outlines their areas of responsibility.
As well as bringing his Board experience to the role, Michael is also the CMS Early Talent partner and a supporter of its D&I initiatives, so has a particular interest in the role mental health plays in recruitment, retention and wellbeing of staff.
Moira brings her extensive global HR and L&D expertise to her coaching and brings her passion and professionalism to support partners and other senior leaders in achieving their business goals.
Kate led Pinsent Masons’ own DE&I programme for 5 years, during which time Pinsents were named top 20 in the Financial Times Most Inclusive Companies among other awards. Kate regularly advises on the complex and constantly evolving interplay between law and diversity and inclusion.
Johnathan is the relationship partner for two major banks and has fulfilled these roles for the last 20 years. His Group comprises over 300 people from many different walks of life. He is interested in how we can work together in a healthier way.
As a trustee, Jo uses her people skills, her contacts and the business acumen she has obtained through her years at Airbus, Barclays and Lloyds, to further the work of the MBC and see more companies’ cultures transformed through the implementation of the charter.
Dan has an interest in health and wellbeing and, in particular, in maintaining and improving employee wellbeing in the “work from home” state. Daniel has prior experience of charities as a co-opted member of the board of The Mount Everest Foundation.
Bola is passionate about inclusion and wellbeing, and brings over 15 years’ experience as a business leader to the table. Her strengths lie in developing strategies and realistic, sustainable delivery plans. She's worked with charities for many years, including operating as a trustee, and more recently as a school governor.
Mary has a passion for strengthening the profession through promoting greater diversity and inclusion, and healthier working practices. She is a trained Mental Health Champion and one of the co-founders of the Mindful Business Charter and held the role of Chair of Trustees until 2024.
Will is co-chair of his firm’s Wellbeing Committee and has been heavily involved in the firm’s efforts to implement the Mindful Business Charter. He has a particular interest in mental wellbeing, based on his own experiences and those of people around him, having spoken about these issues at Universities and professionally.
Hemal has a particular interest in identifying and solving behavioural aspects of the Mindful Business Charter in a modern world of hybrid teams operating across multiple markets with different cultures, expectations and ways of working, and is very much looking to leverage his international experience in his trustee role.
