Kate is an employment and equality law expert who advises household name employers across the UK on a variety of strategic matters.  Kate has a strong reputation in the market,and is known for her ability to resolve complex issues with sensitivity and discretion.  She is described as “very knowledgeable with a great understanding of clients’ businesses”.  As well as being a key member of the employment group, Kate leads the Equality Law team at Pinsent Masons and is particularly known for her specialism in equality and discrimination law.  The team are valued for their ability to go‘beyond legal’ and to advise clients in a way that considers and protects company culture and reputation.  Kate regularly advises on the complex and constantly evolving interplay between law and diversity and inclusion.  

Kate led Pinsent Masons’ own DE&I programme for 5 years, from 2016 to 2021.  During this time, Pinsent Masons was named as a Top Employer for Working Families, Times Top 50 Employer for Women, a Top 75 Employer on the Social Mobility Index, top 20 in the Financial Times Europe’s Most Inclusive Companies, and the number 1 employer on the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index.

Kate has been instrumental in founding, developing and acting as a Trustee for the Mindful Business Charter.
